What’s On In Perth: WA Day

Thanks to our state’s annual day, we all get a long weekend! Make the most of your free Monday with all the FREE activities happening around Perth. Elizabeth Quay will be very busy with a huge amount of activities and stalls to go see, including face painting, Occulus Rift experiences thanks to SciTech, and shooting hoops with the Perth Wildcats! Down in Fremantle there’s a more cultural day out waiting to happen, with numbat mask painting, a tour of a 16th Century Dutch ship and writing and drawing workshops with the Literature Centre. The day will end in a live and free music festival featuring some of WA’s up and coming new music talents, so grab the kids, call your mates and make the most of it.

What’s On In Perth: Disney On Ice

Have you got a daughter or grand-daughter who really appreciates good ice-skating? No? Well if they’re into Disney Princesses this is still the event for you! Head down to the Perth Arena to see everyone’s favourite Disney characters perform songs and dances on the ice like you’ve never seen before. Ariel and Sebastian from the Little Mermaid will be there, as well as Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel from Tangled and the cast of Frozen, the Academy Award-Winning feature film.

What’s a wheelie bin good for other than holding rubbish and replacing cricket wickets? Well, you’re about to find out thanks to the highly trained circus performers of the Trash Test Dummies. Their routine will have the whole family in stitches while at the same time marvelling at their ability to pull off balancing tricks and feats of strength. Good for the whole family, the show lasts one hour and is entertaining every minute.
