Great Places To Visit Around Perth: Wine and Dine in the Swan Valley
The Swan Valley is W.A.’s oldest wine region. Only a 20-minute drive east of Perth, this is a good option if you are short on time.
The town of Guildford is the heart of the Swan Valley and has quaint antique shops, cozy cafes and fascinating art galleries to discover.
If antique shopping is not your style, then perhaps a gourmet lunch might be in order. You are spoilt for choice with 70 restaurants and cafes in the area.

Great Places To Visit Around Perth: Heritage Beauty in York
Under an hour and half of driving further east gets you to the beautiful heritage town of York, located in the Avon Valley.
York is perfect for daytrips, romantic weekends away, family holidays or work team building trips. All types of holidays are catered for with different accommodation including caravan parks, Bed and Breakfasts and 5-star hotels.
For adventurers, there are
skydiving and paragliding activities to name a few.
History buffs might prefer to take a look at the
York Residency Museum or simply find a nice spot for lunch and soak up the Victorian and Federation buildings around town.
Great Places To Visit Around Perth: Lancelin – Sand-boarding & much more
Only an hour and a half’s drive north of Perth, Lancelin is an adventure sports lover’s heaven.
Many of the local shops offer sand board hire by the hour. One word of advice though – make sure you start early as the dunes usually get scorching hot by lunchtime!
It’s not just sand-boarding either. You won’t be disappointed with more sand dune activities such as four-wheel driving and quad biking.
If you’re feeling peckish after sand-boarding, the

Lancelin is world-famous for the dunes and sand-boarding, but there’s plenty more to see and do and activities also include fishing, snorkeling, diving, surfing and body boarding.
Great Places To Visit Around Perth: Visit the Pinnacles
If you have more than a few days up your sleeve, then visiting the
Pinnacles is a must. Located near the town of Cervantes, you will need to allow more time for this drive especially if you’re combining it with a trip to Lancelin.
By road it takes just over 2 hours to reach Cervantes so you might like to book a place overnight to make the most of the area and
‘Australia’s Coral Coast’ is a great place to begin looking.
The Pinnacles are limestone formations within Nambung National Park and look their most striking around early morning or late afternoon. The area is best explored in spring and receives over 250,000 visitors annually. This is one statistic you want to be a part of!
